Update and create a more modern finish
1.Protect (drop cloth floors, plastic furniture and lights and any walls not being painted)
2.Remove popcorn (spray with water and remove with mud knife catching popcorn texture in a mud pan)
3.Power sand the ceiling
4.Apply joint compound to all drywall seams, nail heads and any imperfections
5.Sand and prime (prime with oil based if ceiling drywall has yellowed)
6.Apply another round of joint compound to an imperfections missed the first time
7.Sand and paint top coat
8. Clean up (pick up drops & plastic, sweep/vacuum)
9. Done. Flat, clean, fresh ceilings
